We hope this message finds you and your loved ones in good health.
We are OPEN and seeing patients for IN-PERSON appointments! To make an appointment, please call our office at (818) 348-4666.
Cleanliness has always been a top priority for our practice. We have now ramped up our efforts to follow even more strict guidelines upholding the highest levels of sanitization.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Optometric Association (AOA), and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We continue to monitor the recommendations of these agencies to stay up to date with any new guidance.
When it is time for your next appointment, you may see some changes along with our protocols.
1. Our office will communicate with you ahead of your appointment to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again when you arrive at the office.
2. When entering the office, we ask that you wear a mask of your own. Just inside the door we have a reception area where staff will take your temperature (no touch) and staff will give you hand sanitizer.
3. Our reception area will no longer offer magazines, toys, and other items that are difficult to disinfect. Only two chairs are available, maintaining social distancing. Therefore, we ask you to come to your appointment alone if possible. Those patients needing a parent, guardian, or support companion, will be accommodated, with those visitors also subject to the safety protocols.
4. We will have surgical masks available for any patient who has not been able to secure any for themselves to wear to the practice.
5. Staff will be wearing personal protective equipment above and beyond what we used to wear to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
6. We are painstakingly sanitizing all surfaces, rooms, and equipment both on a regular timed basis, and between patient encounters. This includes eyewear for sale. Therefore, we ask that you try eyewear minimally, and do not replace them on the displays. Staff will individually sanitize the pieces that have been touched.
We look forward to seeing you all again. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about visiting the office, telemedicine options, or the extra steps we are taking to keep safe. To make an appointment, please call our office at (818) 348-4666 or visit our website at www.WestValleyOptometry.com.
Thank you for choosing us to attend to your ocular health and vision needs. We value your trust and loyalty. We look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends in the safest way possible.
We miss you all,
Stevin Minie OD, Francisca Escobar OD, and the team.
